I've finally managed to knock out a simple html page in vi. Hopefully over time I'll learn more html and will be able to improve this page.
I'm currently a fourth year Ph.D. student at Columbia University. I'm working with Jason Nieh of the Network Computing Lab.
My research focus at the NCL now deals with creating secure and migrtatable Linux Virtual Machines.
This work is extremely cool, becuase it opens up new ways for us to use computers. Instead of being teathered to a single computer that has one's applications and documents, one can move a "virtual" computer around a set of physical computers. For instance, if one was working on a Word Processing document on a computer at work, he could just simply migrate his entire environment to his home computer. With simple automation, this can be made as simple as inserting a smart card at whatever computer you want to use.`
In May 2001, I graduated with a BA in Computer Science from Yeshiva University.
In October 2003, I graduated with an MS in Computer Science from Columbia University
In the summer of 2001, I worked on IBM's Linux Watch Project while working for IBM Research at the T.J. Watson Research Center
During the Summer of 2000 I had the honor of participating in IBM's Internship program, Extreme Blue.
