Photographic Phun
Here's the scoop on photography in my world. I have always been
interested in taking pictures; from the time when I was a little kid (and
worried that if a picture tore, the ink would spill out), through the
years when my brother took Photo in high school and I was his primary
subject, onwards toward the years I spent in Photo class in high school,
followed by a couple of years of yearbook photography, to my junior and
half of my senior years of college, when I served as the Photography Editor for
the YU Commentator, the
"Official Undergraduate Newspaper of Yeshiva
University." However, upon the occassion of a variety of disagreements
with a certain editor in chief of the paper, I decided that it wasn't
worth the pain, and I quit.
Unfortunately, I have as yet been unable to get around to scanning my
pics, so you'll just have to wait for the opportunity to see some of my
award winning work. In particular, I am making reference to a
photograph I took using Kodak T-Max film (ASA 100, I think) of
fireworks at Paramount's Great
America on July 3rd a few years back. It was a long exposure,
allowing for the creation of streaks of light by the moving pieces of
fireworks, creating an image on paper similar to the one seen in your
head of fireworks.
